It's becoming a scientific truth: Cats and dogs have feelings. By using MRIs, researchers in Atlanta proved that dogs experience complex feelings, and their bond with humans is not solely based on basic needs, such as food. Neuroscientists in Budapest said dogs respond to laughter and crying almost as accurately as humans. Other researchers said cats adapt their feelings to those they are around.
