While
most people go to the big cat enclosure to see the lions and tigers,
one man in Henan province, central China, has decided to look for
something a bit more exciting.
Video footage captured on December 19 showed a 40-year-old zoo-visitor leaping from a chairlift into a tiger enclosure.
Luckily,
netting over the top of the cage caught the unidentified man, who was
successfully rescued. The man later told rescue workers that he was
looking for 'a thrill', reported People's Daily Online.

According to reports, the incident took place just after 11am local time.
The man was visiting Tiger Mountain, an attraction at Wang Cheng Park in the city of Luoyang.
In
the video footage, the man, who was dressed in black, was seen riding
alone on the chairlift as it travelled over the enclosure.
He started to get up out of the seat and seemed to hesitate for a moment before leaping off and falling into the net below.

The tigers were immediately seen to be circling below the man.
For a moment, the net looked like it was about to collapse under the man's weight.
Luckily, the net held on and a member of the zoo staff was able to rescue the man after diverting the tigers.
After the rescue, the man allegedly told his rescuers: 'I saw that the safety net was quite sturdy and wanted to find a thrill.
'When I jumped off, the somersault didn't go according to plan.'
The man has been described as mentally stable.
It's not clear whether he will face any charges over his irresponsible act.
