When asked if he was happy in his own home, Dmitri simply responded, “Huff.” Dmitri and his brother Wiz — Amur tiger twins who are almost two years old — made their public debut at the Philadelphia Zoo Thursday.

Animal keeper Anna Ryan said Dmitri and Wiz arrived in Philadelphia in January and have adjusted nicely to their new habitat in First Niagara Big Cat Falls. “These guys are full of energy,” Ryan said. “They’re always running and playing and being loud.”

The nearly 300-pound twins actually have different birthdays. Dmitri was born before midnight on June 28, 2012 and Wiz waited until after midnight, making his birthday June 29. Dmitri and Wiz came to Philly from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio and have been around people all their lives.
