SALT LAKE CITY — Visiting the zoo may seem like a cold prospect
during the winter, but some animals are actually more active when the
snow falls.Officials at Utah’s Hogle Zoo said their big cats, like a tiger and
leopard, come out when the snow does. Officials said wintertime can
allow visitors to get a closer look at the animals without dealing with
crowds. The zoo is closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day, but remains open the rest of the year.Officials also said the elephants sometimes come out to play in the snow, see the video above for more information.
