Remember the episode of the original Star Trek series, Cat's Paw, where Spock felt "strangely drawn" to a black cat? As a cat person I would like to say, on behalf of all feline lovers, that we thank him for sharing that tidbit of gentleness to everyone then and for generations to come. Black cats are not evil, nor are they bad luck. They are the soul of sweetness and should be adopted with as much fervor as any other flavor of kitty.
Here's that memory along with a little tribute to our friend who has begun the long voyage home. Live long and pawspurr, Spock, in the vast beyond where you wait for us all...
