The incident happened Thursday around 12:35 p.m. at Alisal Guest Ranch in the 1000 block of Alisal Road.
Fish and Wildlife officials say the woman was sitting on a bench when the bobcat came up behind her and bit her on her head.
When she tried to brush it away, they say it then bit her on her hand.
She was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and officials say she was likely treated for rabies as a precaution.
The animal was captured in nearby bushes and euthanized.
Officials say the bobcat was between 10 to 15 pounds and looked unhealthy.
Test results are expected back in about a week.
Officials add that bobcat attacks like this one are very rare.
