Three Nights – Three BIG Cats

Three Nights – Three BIG Cats

Thursday, July 11, 2013 - 16:15
To celebrate one of the hottest times of the year, ThinkTV and CET are getting cozy with some of nature’s biggest cats. That’s right! We’re presenting “Three Weeks – Three Big Cats” each Wednesday for the rest of July.

July 17, 8pm: The first big cat program is Nature: Elsa’s Legacy – The Born Free Story. Born Free, a book and then a film that changed forever the way we think about wildlife, marked its 50th anniversary of the publication in 2010. What has happened to lions since this story? And what has happened to the people featured in the film? What has Born Free taught us?

July 24, 8pm: The second Nature about big cats is Siberian Tiger Quest. This program follows Chris Morgan as he embarks on his great challenge – to find and film the Siberian tiger living wild and free in Russia’s eastern forests. See how Morgan, along with Korean cameraman Sooyong Park, use unconventional techniques to get a glimpse at this rare creature.

July 31, 8pm: The final show in “Three Weeks – Three Big Cats” is Nature: Revealing the Leopard. The leopard is the most widespread predator of their size on land – hunting from South Africa to Siberia and Arabia to Sri Lanka. This film puts together a psychological profile of this extraordinarily cunning cat and shows how these cats rarely move without a completely premeditated strategy.
