Jaguar escaped from zoo in Bulgaria’s Lovech killed

Lovech. The Jaguar that escaped from the zoo in the town of Lovech on Sunday morning was killed. Mincho Kazandzhiev, Mayor of Lovech, announced the news for FOCUS News Agency. In his words, that move was a last resort as people’s safety had to be guaranteed.

The authorities did not succeed in catching the cat in a cage by using food as a bait. They could not tranquilise the animal as it did not appear before the two tranquiliser guns they had so that darts could be shot.
