A man who boasts about eating pet cats because he likes the taste of their meat has outraged animal lovers in Switzerland.
Controversial Martin Buhlmann, 72, from Lucerne, has confessed his appetite for cats - which he says taste 'just like chicken' - in an upcoming programme on Swiss TV.

'I grew up in modest circumstances in a large family, it was normal to catch cats and my mother cooked them on a spit,' he confirmed to Blick newspaper.
'The meat of a cat is rather pleasant and easy to digest. It tastes better than rabbits.
'It's not so different from a chicken. It does not feel any different to kill than a chicken - the main thing is that the animal does not suffer.
'It is as ethical as sushi or seafood.'

Buhlmann's views will create more controversy when the show - Animals and Us - is screened on Thursday.
He claims people's squeamishness about eating domestic animals is because society tries to give them human qualities.
'The food supply in the supermarket for animals will soon be as diverse as for people. Pets even get clothes - that's ridiculous,' he said.
Eating cats and dogs remains legal in Switzerland, despite frequent protests by animal rights groups.
Cat protection group SOS Chats' leader Tomi Tomek, has collected more than 85,000 signatures for a petition to ban the practice, which remains popular with some traditionalists.
She told Le Matin newspaper: 'In Saint Imier a family of farmers gather each year to eat cat meat.

'They even have a special recipe for young kittens — more tender — that they let cook all night in milk with thyme and rosemary.
'It's a sort of old tradition that continues in many other cantons, Appenzell, Thurgau and Ticino, but it has to stop.
'It is shocking that this is allowed by law.
