Pride of lions form world’s cutest roadblock – and who'd be brave enough to move them?

The big cats showed they were kings of the road as well as the jungle when they held up traffic in the Kruger National Park

Look at them, just lion about in the mane road...

You know how it is when you’re in a hurry and there's a cat blocking the road – it’s just a matter of getting out and shooing it to the side.
But this was a trickier proposition for travellers in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, who were confronted by a family of rather bigger felines.
We’d suggest a big ball of catnip at the roadside as a possible diversion, or shining a laser pen at a tree.
Without such resources at her disposal, gym Elsa de Kock, 54, decided getting the big cats to move would be a reckless move.
Instead she captured the moment in this beautiful picture.
Kruger National Park, a 7,523 sq m game reserve, is home to an estimated 2,000 lions.
Africa’s total population of wild lions is estimated at 25-30,000, down from 250,000 in 1975, with conservationists trying to reverse the decline in numbers.
