A TV wildlife expert built a metal cage on the side of a Land Rover to capture up close and personal shots of deadly big cats at a safari park.
TV presenter Simon King used the contraption - similar to a shark cage - to photograph lions and tigers at Longleat Safari Park from just a few centimetres.
He used a small opening at the foot of the hydraulic cage to poke his camera out of which quickly drew the attention of the fierce creatures.
Many of them got so close to his lens he was able to feel their breath as well as capture the unique images.
Simon also used the tactic to get close-ups of wolves and rhinos at the famous Wiltshire attraction.

By attaching the 6ft tall cage to the side of a Land Rover he was able to move freely and safely in the enclosures where the big cats roam.

And it wasn't just big cats that wanted to get a closer look at the presenter

Simon said: “I wanted to be in a position to literally get lion noses up against the lens - and the cage helped me succeed in this.”
